Job Description

Reporting directly to the Division General Manager, manages the sales and marketing funcions
for an operating division or major product line. Primary responsibilities include: preparation,
coordination and accomplishment of current year and long-term sales forecasts; product
pricing strategies; field sales staffing, development and incentives; customer service; new
product development and evaluation; and marketing research on competitors and industry
evolution. This manager supervises 5 - 30 professional and administrative personnel.
Participates in the development of long-range strategic plans. As a facility staff member,
participates in and supports the principles of OPEN BOOK MANAGEMENT.

__________________ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor of science in business or technical discipline, with post-graduate coursework/
seminars on state-of-the-art techniques on sales and marketing activities.
Experience
Six to 15 years in field sales and sales management within a manufacturing environment.
Equipment Used
Personal/mainframe computer; specific software packages, copier, calculator, telephone,
and fax.
Safety/Safety of Others
Must wear all required personal protective equipment in designated areas. Care necessary
to avoid placing self and others in an unsafe environment.
Quality of Work
Provides quality products and services for internal and external customers. Performance of
quality work and decisions is important to succeeding operations. Participates in the
Q-9000 process.
Physical Demand
Requires intermittent physical effort; short work cycles. May be called upon occasionally to
push, pull, and lift material weighing an average of 20 - 30 pounds.
Work Environment
Exposure to atmospheric conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and varying temperatures.
Employee required to demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and
requirements.
